Sendmail Tips

 

Mail Solution(Sendmail):

 

SMTP port: 25

POP3 port: 110

n uses the following configuration files:

/etc/mail/local-host-names	Lists of hosts sendmail accepts mail for
/etc/mail/mailer.conf	Mailer program configuration
/etc/mail/mailertable	Mailer delivery table
/etc/mail/sendmail.cf	sendmail master configuration file
/etc/mail/virtusertable	Virtual users and domain tables

 

Required Services: sendmail, imap, imaps, pop3, pop3s

 

m4 /etc/mail/Sendmail.mc > /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

 

Mapping the email ids

 

makemap hash /etc/mail/virtusertable < /etc/mail/virtusertable

 

 

Reject the unwanted mail & Relay

 

makemap hash /etc/mail/access < /etc/mail/access

 

Vi /etc/mail/access

 

                            baskar@aol.com                            REJECT

                            baskar@microsoft.com              REJECT

                           Baskar@baskar.com             RELAY
